Snowball shrimp are a great shrimp that are becoming rarer nowadays. Their names are due to the females looking like they have snowballs on their backs when they are egg bound. Because they are a neocaridina species, they are hardy and beginner-friendly.

Important Information:
The female shrimp are much nicer coloured and larger than the males (common in all neocaridina species).
The total dissolved solids (TDS) is 280 (tap water). In my experience, they are adaptable to rainwater and low TDS conditions.
The shrimp may appeared less colour when bagged, but they will gain their colour once they are in their new home and not stressed.
All shrimp will be randomly caught and bagged. I will do my best to ensure a combination of female/male are caught. Please do not ask for specific sexes or to choose the shrimp.
